ROBINHO WILL SUCCEED IN PREMIER LEAGUE

Brazilian Robinho will have no problem succeeding in the Premier League and is certain to become a hero at Manchester City, according to his agent.

The 24-year-old moved to Eastlands from Spanish giants Real Madrid on Monday for a British transfer record of £32.5m.

Wagner Ribeiro said: "I am absolutely convinced that Robinho will succeed at Manchester City and in the Premier League.

"He has plenty of quality and is young. Perhaps the even more offensive style of the English league [compared to La Liga] will suit him even more."

On his client's acrimonious move from Real, Wagner added: "The Real Madrid problems are already forgotten. The best solution for all parties was for him to leave.

"Real Madrid seemed to have no interest in selling Robinho to Chelsea. I cannot say more of the operation but we have been working all summer [on engineering a transfer]."
